The trailer of director Rathish Ambat's Theerppu got released on Sunday. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran, Saiju Kurup, Isha Talwar, and Hannah Reji Koshy in prominent roles.

From the trailer, we learn that it is a gripping tale of four friends -- Ramkumar (Vijay Babu), Kalyan Menon (Indrajith), Parameshwaran Potty (Saiju Kurup), and Abdulla (Prithviraj) -- with a dark, troubled past.

Theerppu marks Rathish Ambat and Murali Gopy's reunion after Kammarasambhavam. The writer-director duo is also producing the film with Vijay Babu's Friday Film House.

The film has Sunil KS as the cinematographer and Deepu Joseph as the editor. Murali Gopy is composing the songs and the background score is done by Gopi Sundar.

The makers have announced August 25 as the release date.
