JioHotstar's upcoming Malayalam web series Kappi Squad is set to premiere on October 15, the makers announced on social media alongside a new poster. The show will also be available in dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.

Described as a 100-episode long-running show, Kappi Squad is created by actor-filmmaker Srikanth Mohan, who previously directed SonyLIV's Saiju Kurup-starrer web series Jai Mahendran. Belraj Kalarickal has directed the new show, with Adithya Thejas and Subin George credited as writers. The principal cast includes Bigg Boss Malayalam-fame Rinosh George, Prakambanam actor Anagha Ajith, Diya Deepan, social media content creators Joel Joseph and Abhirami Dayanandan, and filmmaker Rahul Riji Nair.

Rahul's production banner First Print Studios is backing Kappi Squad in association with JioHotstar. The technical crew includes cinematographers Rakesh Dharan and Jayakrishnan Vijayan, editor Appu Bhattathiri and music composer Sidhartha Pradeep.

The series was launched with a traditional pooja ceremony in June. Rahul is best known for helming acclaimed films such as Ottamuri Velicham and Kalla Nottam, and has also produced several films and streaming projects.
