It has been three days since the release of Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar, starring Parvathy Thiruvothu and Vijayaraghavan, and the Urvashi-Joju George-Aishwarya Lekshmi starrer Aasha. Both films opened in theatres to positive reviews from critics and audiences. That said, Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar has earned a greater amount of money at the box office so far.

According to data from the tracker Sacnilk, director Shahad's film has minted a gross collection of 4.73 crore so far. On Sunday, the third day of its release, the film has earned 1.15 crore until now, the tracker reports. Conversely, director Safar Sanal's film has earned 1.12 crore from theatres, according to the latest available data from Sacnilk.

Even now, director Girish AD's Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, starring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju, dominates the box office when it comes to Malayalam cinema.

On Saturday and Sunday, the 23rd and 24th days of its release, the age-gap romance has grossed 3.85 crore and 2.05 crore (live) from theatres, as per Sacnilk data. It is worth noting that the Sunday shows for Bethlehem Kudumba Unit have still not ended, so the collection for the film is expected to go up and reach around 3 crore by the end of the day. Recently, BKU surpassed the global box office collection of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, thus becoming the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time.

Interestingly, both Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar and Aasha has Vijayaraghavan in important roles. Besides Parvathy Thiruvothu and Vijayaraghavan, the former film stars Mathew Thomas, Unnimaya Prasad, Azees Nedumangad, and Sidharth Bharathan, among others. On the other hand, Aasha's cast includes Ajayan Adat as well. Around this time two years ago, both Parvathy and Urvashi headlined the emotionally resonant drama Ullozhukku.
