The trailer of Ranjith’s upcoming directorial Law & Order offers a glimpse of its world packed with cop, criminals, and chaos. Popular ad filmmaker Prakash Varma, who made his acting debut with Thudarum, headlines the cast. He plays a senior policeman leading a team of young recruits, who seem to be after the city’s drug rackets.

Shersha Sherief of Little Miss Rawther fame plays the primary antagonist, Prahalad Parekh aka Pacha. Towards the end, the trailer also teases Mammootty’s cameo. The actor reprises his character Karikkamuri Shanmughan from the 2004 action drama Black, also directed by Ranjith.

Law & Order is scripted by Udaykrishna, marking his maiden collaboration with Ranjith. Besides a bunch of newcomers, the film features familiar faces like Abhirami, Devan, Bobby Kurian, VK Prakash, Suresh Krishna, Joy Mathew, Anand Manmadhan, Johny Antony, Bheeman Raghu and Nandu in the cast. After changing the release plans on multiple occasions, the film is finally set to hit screens on September 18.
