Dulquer Salmaan's I'm Game opened in theatres on Thursday to mixed reviews from critics and audiences. While viewers in general praised the film's first half and technical aspects, they found the portions after the interval generic and predictable. Despite the mixed opinion, the film has performed really well at the global box office on release day. According to data from the box office tracker Sacnilk, the I'm Game box office collection for day one stands at 11.35 crore (gross) worldwide.

The tracker's data reveals that the film earned a net collection of 5.40 crore on release day, out of which 4.55 crore comes from its Malayalam version, 75 lakh stems from its Telugu version and the rest from Hindi. So far this Friday, it earned a net collection of 37 lakh, as per close-to-real time data from the tracker.

Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, I'm Game follows a gambler (Dulquer Salmaan) with a firm belief in the luck who becomes entangled in a set of strange and unanticipated events, which have a major effect on his life. The makers describe it as a thrill ride full of fun, action, surprises, and moments that are unforgettable.

I'm Game has marked Dulquer Salmaan's comeback to Malayalam cinema in a lead role after 2023's King of Kotha, even though the actor made a brief appearance in Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra. Besides Dulquer, the film also features actors Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, Samyuktha Viswanathan, Kathir, and Vinay Forrt, among others. It has a screenplay written by Sajeer Baba, Bilal Moidu, and Ismail Aboobacker, alongside dialogues by Adarsh Sukumaran, Shabas Rasheed, and Sajeer Baba.

On the technical front, the film has composer Jakes Bejoy, cinematographer Jimshi Khalid, production designer Ajayan Chalissery, editor Chaman Chakko, and sports choreographer Robert Miller. In addition to starring in the lead role, Dulquer has produced it under his Wayfarer Films banner, alongside Jom Varghese.
