Ritwik Baiju, a former assistant to Shyamaprasad, is making his directorial debut with an indie film titled Kochu Lokavum Kunju Manushyarum. It is headlined by Anoop Mohandas and Ann Saleem. Anoop is noted for his roles in the critically acclaimed film Ennennum and the web series The Chronicles of the 4.5 Gang - Sambhava Vivaranam Nalarasangham, while Ann has played key roles in Masthishka Maranam and the web series, Love Under Construction.

Kochu Lokavum Kunju Manushyarum is a crowd funded project, eyeing a run on the film festival circuit. It also stars Shyamaprasad, Pradeep Kumar, SK Mini, Sreeja Shyam, Vigi Muraly and Anuja Krishnan. It has cinematography by Radhika Padmakumar, editing by Appu N Bhattathiri, and music by Sidhartha Pradeep.
