On Nivin Pauly’s birthday on Sunday, the makers of his upcoming film, tentatively titled NP 51, released the actor’s look from the film. In the poster, Nivin, sporting a beard and a cream T-shirt, sits on a sofa holding a newspaper, with a serious expression and greenery visible outside. Jagadish had earlier revealed that the project’s official title is Rom Com, though an official confirmation is awaited.

Directed by Nashid Famy, NP 51 marks the Malayalam debut of Rukmini Vasanth, best known for the Sapta Sagaradaache Ello duology and Kantara: A Legend - Chapter 1. Nashid, who co-wrote Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, makes his directorial debut with the upcoming film, working from a screenplay he has co-written with Nidhin Nagesh. Billed as a family entertainer with humour and romance, it also stars Aju Varghese, who reunites with Nivin after the 2025 blockbuster Sarvam Maya. The cast also includes Jagadish, Kalaranjini and Ashokan.

NP 51 is produced by Martin Prakkat under his namesake banner, alongside Nivin’s Pauly Jr Pictures, and Siby Chavara and Renjith Nair of Green Room Productions. Green Room Release is the distributor. The technical crew includes composer Electronic Kili, cinematographer Bablu Aju and editor Kannan Mohan. Nivin had earlier said that the film is targeted for a Vishu release in April 2027.

Nivin has several other films in various stages of production, including Benz with Raghava Lawrence and Ravi Mohan, the long-delayed Dear Students alongside Nayanthara, and his 50th film Vijayam, which reunites the Bethlehem Kudumba Unit actor with director Alphonse Puthren after Neram and Premam.
