The upcoming Malayalam film Dhanushkodiyilekku, headlined by Lena, Sudheer Karamana and Nisthar Sait, is set to hit theatres on October 9. Directed by Jahangir Ummar, the film is written and produced by Adv Balaji Raveendran under the banner of Ganga Productions.

According to the makers, Dhanushkodiyilekku revolves around two families, with love, rivalry and revenge forming the central themes. Set against the backdrop of the 1964 Rameswaram cyclone that devastated the coastal town of Dhanushkodi, the film spans two timelines, connecting the past tragedy with a love story set in 2026.

The cast also includes Ardra Gopakumar, MR Gopakumar, Dinesh Panicker, Joby, Riyas Nedungad, VK Baiju, Sindhu Varma, Aristo Suresh and Vithura Thankachan. It has cinematography by Kanakaraj, editing by Anoop Raj, and music by D Sivaprasad and A K Tariq.
