Chemban Vinod Jose, known for his performances in Malayalam films like Ee Maa Yau, Porinju Mariam Jose, Churuli, and the Tamil film Vikram, has reportedly joined the cast of Allu Arjun's upcoming film Raaka. Directed by Atlee, this ambitious entertainer blends elements of science fiction, fantasy and superhero cinema. The makers had earlier released a first-look poster featuring Allu Arjun in an almost half-human, half-animal look.

While details regarding Chemban Vinod's character are yet to be out, it is said to be a pivotal one. Raaka already stars Deepika Padukone in a significant role. Names of other popular actors like Vijay Sethupathi, Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and Kajol are also doing the rounds, but the makers are yet to confirm any other cast details. Production of this VFX-heavy film, produced by Sun Pictures, is still underway.

Meanwhile, Chemban Vinod is scripting, producing and acting in his brother Ullas Chemban's next directorial after Anchakkallakokkan. Titled Disco, it also stars Antony Varghese Pepe, Arjun Ashokan, Lukman Avaran, Dev, Sreenath Bhasi, and Vishnu Unnikrishnan.
