One of the characters in director Krishnadas Murali's Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam that has made an instant impact on the audience is Baby Jean's Subhash Jr. The rapper-turned-actor brings a sense of eccentricity and manic energy to the character, winning countless fans for his role. So much so that Baby Jean's and the film's admirers celebrated the references that his character Subhash Jr makes to other films in the Bharathanatyam sequel. The latest to become an admirer of the rapper-turned-actor's work in the film is Unni Mukundan.

Taking to his Instagram Stories space, Unni Mukundan shared a still of Baby Jean's character from the film and wrote, "Saw Mohiniyattam, loved you work Baby brother. Loved your act." Unni Mukundan also reminisced about directing Baby Jean in the song 'Marpapa' from Marco that is sung by the rapper-actor and that also features the latter in the track's video.

"Fondly recalling directing you for the 'Marpapa' song! Baby Jean, best wishes," Unni Mukundan added.

Before his breakout role in Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam, Baby Jean was known for his independent songs, such as 'Thalakkanam,' 'Kaayi,' and 'Bandana'. He has often been cited as one of the most talented rappers in Malayalam, alongside Hanumankind and Vedan, among others.

Baby Jean made his acting debut as a character named David "DJ" John in last year's Alappuzha Gymkhana, directed by Khalid Rahman and co-starring Naslen, Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi, and Sandeep Pradeep, among others. Up next, he will be seen in the action film Kattalan, directed by Paul George and co-starring Antony Varghese.

On the other hand, Unni Mukundan's upcoming films include Maa Vande, where he is set to play Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
