Three years ago, we reported about the announcement of Roopesh Peethambaran's directorial venture Bhaskara Bharanam. Finally, the film's writer-director-actor dropped a poster offering a first look at the characters in it. The poster features Roopesh's character holding a knife just above the head of another character, played by Ajay Pavithran. In the caption, the makers teased the storyline, saying, "Some bonds are twisted. Some love is complicated. Some fathers and sons have a story the world isn't ready for."
In the title announcement post, Roopesh Peethambaran expressed his gratitude to Dileep for the support from the actor during a struggling face in his life. "Thank you Dileep etta for holding me beside you when many left me and for helping me bounce back in life. I will never forget this love and care you showed. Janapriya Nayakan for a reason," Roopesh wrote.
It is worth noting that Dileep shared the Bhaskara Bharanam first-look poster in his Instagram Stories and wished Roopesh luck on the project. The film also stars Sonika Meenakshi, Mitun M Das, and Parvathy Kalarikkal, among others. It marks Roopesh's return to direction after 2015's You Too Brutus; the filmmaker's credits include Theevram, starring Dulquer Salmaan.
On the technical front, the upcoming film has cinematographer Uma Kumarapuram, composer Arun Thomas, and editor Rashin Ahmed. Syam Ambadi is also credited as an additional cinematographer.
Produced by Arumugam K Gowda and Ruby Peethambaran, with Deepak Dinesh and Binoy C Babu serving as co-producers, the film is slated for a June release.
