The much-anticipated trailer of Drishyam 3, released on Saturday, gives a glimpse into how Georgekutty and family continue to struggle to cope with the consequences of a crime they committed years back. Mohanlal as Georgekutty is still the silent guardian, determined as ever to protect his family.
Unlike the previous instalments, which focused on police investigation, Drishyam 3 follows a media investigation as two young journalists set out to crack the mystery behind the Varun Prabhakar case.
Along with franchise regulars like Mohanlal, Meena, Esther Anil, Ansiba Hassan, Asha Sarath, and Siddique, the new film has Veena Nandakumar in a prominent role. Murali Gopy, Ganesh Kumar and Santhi Mayadevi who were part of Drishyam 2 also return. Cinematographer Satheesh Kurup, editor Vinayak VS and music director Anil Johnson form the core technical crew.
Antony Perumbavoor is producing Drishyam 3, with Pen Studios and Panorama Studios as presenters. The film is scheduled to hit screens on May 21, coinciding with Mohanlal’s birthday.
Meanwhile, the film's Hindi version starring Ajay Devgn is slated for release in October.
