Three years ago, we reported about Asif Ali starring in a magic-themed film titled Houdini: The King of Magic, directed by Prajesh Sen. After a long wait, the makers of the film have finally dropped a poster offering a first look at Asif's character in it. Asif looks like a magician in the Houdini first-look poster.

The film is named after Harry Houdini, the world-renowned magician who is best known for his breath control ability. Prajeesh is known for films such as Captain, Vellam, Meri Awaaz Suno, and The Secret of Women. Houdini marks the first collaboration between Prajeesh and Asif Ali on a feature film.

The late theatre director Prashanth Narayanan also stars in an important role in the film.

Also part of the cast are actors Guru Somasundaram, Chris Venugopal, Prasanth Alexander, Dr Amar Ramachandran, Viviya Shanth, Devi Nair, Geethi Sangeetha, Twinkle Joby, Dr Praseeda, Anju Abraham, Sreeram, Dr Shinu, Adheesh Damodaran, Johan Sam Joby, Jithendran, Master Vaibhav Suresh, Suchitra, Zakir Manoli, Sandhya Ramesh, Jijina, Manoj Mathradan, and Amara Pallavi, among others.

On the technical front, it has composer Bijibal, cinematographer Noushad Shareef, editor Bijith Bala, and art director Thyagu Thavanoor.

The film is produced by Joby P Sam through his Blue Hill Nile banner, with Prajesh Sen Movie Club serving as co-producer. Meanwhile, Shamseer Hamsa and Abbas Siraj serve as executive producers for it. The makers also announced earlier this Saturday that the film is slated for a summer release in theatres.

Besides Houdini, Asif Ali's upcoming films include Tiki Taka with director Rohit VS and co-star Wamiqa Gabbi and Mattancherry Mafia with director Khalid Rahman and Mammootty and Naslen.
