Production has been completed on Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, the makers of the Nivin Pauly-Mamitha Baiju starrer announced earlier this Saturday. The shoot of the film from co-writer-director Girish AD, best known for Thanneer Mathan Dinangal and Premalu, only started in January this year. The makers also revealed that the film will hit theatres this Onam. It also stars Mamitha's Premalu co-star Sangeeth Prathap, Bindu Panicker, Suresh Krishna, Vinay Forrt, Srinda, Roshan Shanavas, Shameer Khan, and Shyam Mohan.
Bethlehem Kudumba Unit brings Girish AD and Mamitha Baiju back together after collaboration on films such as Super Sharanya and Premalu. It marks the first collaboration between Nivin Pauly, Girish AD and Mamitha Baiju. On the other hand, it reunites Girish with writer Kiran Josey after their collaboration on Premalu.
The film is produced by Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil, and Syam Pushkaran under their Bhavana Studios banner. It is worth noting that Bhavana Studios also produced Premalu.
On the technical front, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has music by Vishnu Vijay, cinematography by Ajmal Sabu, and editing by Akash Joseph Varghese.
Nivin recently enjoyed blockbuster success with Sarvam Maya, his film with co-stars Riya Shibu and Aju Varghese and director Akhil Sathyan. However, his two other films, Baby Girl and Prathichaya, did not do as well as expected at the box office.
Nivin Pauly's upcoming films also include Dear Students with Nayanthara, Benz with Raghava Lawrence, and Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai with co-stars Soori and Anjali and director Ram. On the other hand, Girish AD recently announced a Premalu sequel, although the film has been slightly delayed. Meanwhile, Mamitha has multiple projects in various stages of production. She is awaiting the release of Jana Nayagan, actor Vijay's final film. Her upcoming films also include Irandu Vaanam with Vishnu Vishal and Vishwanath and Sons with Suriya and Venky Atluri. She is expected to comeback for the Premalu sequel as well, alongside the 2024 original's co-stars Naslen and Sangeeth Prathap, among others.
