The Sharaf U Dheen-Kalyani Panicker starrer Madhuvidhu has advanced its release to April 17. The film was earlier scheduled to arrive in cinemas on May 1, after having missed its initial February 6 release.
The update comes on the same day when the makers of Mammootty and Mohanlal's Patriot announced that their film will no longer release on April 23 as planned. The decision follows ongoing tensions in West Asia, which are likely to impact its rollout in GCC territories. A fresh date has not been announced. Earlier, Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 was also pushed to May 21 citing similar concerns.
Directed by debutant Vishnu Aravind, Madhuvidhu marks the acting debut of Kalyani, daughter of veteran actor Bindu Panicker. The cast also includes Jagadish, Azees Nedumangad, Saikumar, Sreejaya, Amal Jose and Sanju Madhu. The film, described as a family entertainer, has been jointly scripted by Bibin Mohan and Jai Vishnu. It has music by Hesham Abdul Wahab, cinematography by Viswajith Odukkathil and editing by Christy Sebastian.
Madhuvidhu is produced by Vinayaka Ajith under Ajith Vinayaka Films.
