The makers of the Saiju Kurup-starrer Mohiniyattam have dropped the music video of the film’s first single, Nilavoonjale. The film, a sequel to the 2024 comedy drama Bharathanatyam, is directed once again by Krishnadas Murali. The track, penned by Muthu to Electronic Kili's composition, is crooned by Sublahshini. The song feels light and easy-going, with the central characters (who were earlier caught up in conflicts in the first instalment) now seeming to be at ease with one another.

Saiju returns as Sasi, along with familiar faces including Kalaranjini, Sreeja Ravi, Divya M Nair, Sruthy Suresh and Nandu Poduval. At the same time, the sequel also brings in new additions like Jagadish, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vinay Forrt and rapper Baby Jean, which adds a bit of curiosity around how the story expands. The film is co-written by Krishnadas and debutant Vishnu R Pradeep. On the technical side, Bablu Aju and Shafeeque V B return as cinematographer and editor, while Electronic Kili takes over music duties this time.

Produced by Lini Mariam David under Thomas Thiruvalla Films, in association with Anupama B Nambiar of Saiju Kurup Entertainments, Mohiniyattam is scheduled to hit theatres on April 10 as a Vishu release.
