The trailer for Dhyan Sreenivasan's Secret of Kallinga is out, and it promises a mystery-horror thriller with supernatural folklore at its core.
The trailer repeatedly emphasises a college campus and the surrounding forest. According to the film's official synopsis, the campus stands on land that once belonged to the ancient Kalinga kingdom, and an old well in the forest hides a centuries-old secret.
Dhyan's character seems to get dragged into some bizarre events before he slowly becomes the investigator who unravels the secrets of Kalinga and the mystery figure Mandhakini.
Secret of Kalinga is directed by Saneesh Unnikrishnan, who has also co-written it with Jishnu M Aaryan. Besides Dhyan, the film stars Althaf Salim, Riyaz Khan, Mareena Michael, and popular social media content creator Nithin Parameswar in prominent roles.
On the technical front, it has cinematography by Asrith Santhosh, editing by Aswanth Raveendran, and music and background score Dhanush Harikumar and Vimaljith Vijayan. Gokul Sreekandan is credited with the additional songs.
Secret of Kalinga, produced by Basheer Varandharappilly and Sulthan under the banner of Aira Films, is set to hit screens on June 18.
