The release of the Dhyan Sreenivasan-starrer Secret of Kalinga has been postponed once again. The makers announced on Wednesday that the film will now hit theatres on June 18. The mystery-horror-comedy was initially scheduled for release on May 21 before being pushed to June 11. No reason has been officially disclosed for the latest postponement.
Directed by Saneesh Unnikrishnan, Secret of Kalinga is co-written by the filmmaker and Jishnu M Aaryan. Besides Dhyan, the film stars Althaf Salim, Riyaz Khan and popular social media content creator Nithin Parameswar in prominent roles. On the technical front, it has cinematography by Asrith Santhosh, editing by Aswanth Raveendran and music composed by Gokul Sreekandan. The background score is jointly composed by Dhanush Harikumar and Vimaljith Vijayan.
Secret of Kalinga is produced by Basheer Varandharappilly and Sulthan under the banner of Aira Films.
Dhyan, who was last seen in Rajesh Amanakara’s Kalyanamaram alongside child actor Devananda of Malikappuram fame, also has Nijish Sahadevan's Thevar in the pipeline.
