Chief Minister Joseph Vijay's administrative decisions have been met both appreciation and reservation among the general public and even the film fraternity. The latest to praise one of his recent decisions is actor Koottickal Jayachandran.

The actor appeared in a video on social media and said that he happened to learn about the Tamil Nadu government's decision to make the use of headphones compulsory for viewing reels in public transport and public places. "I happened to learn that CM Vijay is making a crucial decision, making the use of headphones compulsory in buses and public places. It is a very good decision. It is a decision that makes me very happy," Koottickal Jayachandran said.

The actor also said that the Kerala government should implement a similar decision. "It is necessary on an urgent basis over here as well," Koottickal Jayachandran stated before underscoring that he is someone who travels in trains and buses. The actor reminded, "When we are in a public place, we should remember that it belongs to everyone equally. We should maintain discipline and should not cause nuisance to others when in public places. There should be a limitation even in our own houses, so need I say what should be the case when we go out in public?"

The actor also called out people's tendency to make phone calls in public transport. He rhetorically remarked, "Should others have to listen to what I say about the things happening in my home?" He added that people should be careful enough to limit the use of phones in such places before the government comes with rules and regulations regarding this issue.

Coming back to the government decision, the administration has required the use of awareness stickers regarding the non-use of phones in speaker modes at both entrances and at the centre of buses.
