He is fondly called SI Rajasekharan for his numerous police officer roles

Actor Rajasekharan, known for his roles in films and television programs, has passed away at his residence in Chingavanam. He is most popular for his police officer roles in films, especially as sub inspectors. Therefore, he is also known as SI Rajasekharan. The reason for his death remains unknown.

Hailing from Chingavanam in the Kottayam district, the actor has starred in more than 100 films, according to reports. Some of his credits are Sandarbham, Rajavinte Makan, Vazhiyorakazchakal, Nair Saab, Mudra, Sethurama Iyer CBI, Thappana, No 20 Madras Mail, Parassala Pachan Payyannur Paramu, and Oru Second Class Yathra.

He appeared often in films directed by legendary filmmaker Joshiy. Mammootty, who starred with Rajasekharan in multiple films, paid his final respects to the actor through Facebook.
