Sudheer Karamana's Christina gets release date

The film is set to hit theatres alongside two other Malayalam releases

Earlier, we reported about Sudheer Karamana starring in a film titled Christina, directed by Sudharsanan. Almost a year after the completion of its principal photography, the film's makers, Saleena M Nazeer of MNR Productions, announced its release date. The film is slated for a January 30 release in theatres. Also releasing on the same date are filmmaker Jeethu Joseph's Valathu Vashathe Kallan, starring Biju Menon and Joju George, and the Ganapathi-Sagar Surya starrer Prakambanam, directed by Vijesh Panathur.

Christina features Sudheer Karamana in the lead role of a police officer. The plot and the actor's first-look poster hint at a more serious role for him that is different from his popular comic turns. The film also stars MR Gopakumar, Naseer Sankranthy, Seema G Nair, Arya, Suneesh K Jaan, Shivamurali, Cobra Rajesh, Kalabhavan Nandana, Murali Manishada, Mayakrishna, Sreejith Balaramapuram, Rajeev Robert, Abi, Aneesh, Sunil Punnakkad, Rajesh Vishwaroopam, Chithra Sudarshanan, Master Ashwajith, Avanthika Parvathy, and Rajendran Ummannoor.

The plot revolves around four youngsters in a village. A mysterious salesgirl's entry into their lives leads to unprecedented events in the village. The film has been shot in locations such as Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, and some areas of Tamil Nadu. Its technical team includes cinematographer Shameer Gibran, editor Akshay Souda, composer Sreenath S Vijay, and background score composer Sanfeer.
