Earlier, we reported about actor Mamta Mohandas praising the Arjun Ashokan starrer Thalavara. Directed by Akhil Anilkumar from a screenplay by Akhil himself and Appu Aslam, the film follows a vitiligo patient's rags to riches journey. In her Thalavara movie review, Mamta praised Arjun's performance and Akhil's sensitive direction. She called it "a beautiful painful yet powerful tale that highlights personal, emotional and especially the psychological challenges that one living with it needs to be mentally prepared for in order to face life."

Notably, Mamta has vitiligo in real life, the same skin health condition that Arjun's character deals with in the film. Months after Mamta's effusive praise for the film, Arjun met her alongside his wife Nikita Ganeshan and their daughter. Interestingly, both Arjun and Mamta were clad in pink-coloured outfits. Sharing pictures from their meeting, also featuring Mamta's parents, she wrote, "When Arjun Aashokan showed up to surprise me.. The bigger one (surprise) turned out to be that we were both in PINK."

In the comments section of Mamta's post, Arjun expressed his happiness at meeting her. In a different post, he shared the same pictures and wrote, "So glad to finally meet you, Mamta chechi. Been wanting to meet you since so long. Such a lovely coincidence twinning with you, and I've always been a big fan of your work."

In a different post, Arjun also shared a picture from his recent meeting with actor Ajith Kumar. He thanked filmmaker Len Prasad for making the meeting with Ajith possible. Sharing the picture, also featuring Arjun's wife Nikita and their daughter, he wrote "speechless" in the caption of the post. It appears that both meetings happened on the same day, as Arjun and his wife can be seen in same clothes in the pictures.
