Social media talents Akhil NRD, Akhil Sha, Sharath, and Sandeep are coming together for Maharaja Hostel, a horror-comedy entertainer. The film's teaser was launched at an event held at Shenoys Theatre in Ernakulam on Saturday.

The film, set against the backdrop of a run-down boys' hostel in the city, follows the chaotic experiences of three boys who come to stay there and their warden, MGR (Sajin Cherukayil). Chithra Nair and Ann Maria also appear in key roles.

Maharaja Hostel is written and directed by Charu Wakan. Ashkar Ali, Raja, and Aman Meher are credited for additional screenplay. It is produced under the banners of Charuchitra Productions and Madhumitha Productions by Karamuru Raghuramu and Charuwaka Brahmanappally.

The film has cinematography by Ashkar, who also serves as its executive producer. Music director Ashwin Ram and editor Niteesh Misra are also part of the technical team. The makers have confirmed it as a summer release, but have not yet finalised a specific date.
