The second look poster of Antony Varghese Pepe's Kattalan is out, and it features the actor standing with an axe on top of a wild elephant, which he seems to have brutally killed.

Set against the backdrop of ivory killing, this film directed by debutant Paul George looks like a violent actioner from whatever little promos that have been released so far. Meanwhile, the makers are planning to unveil its teaser this Friday (January 16).

Kattalan is scripted by director Paul along with Joby Varghese and Jero Jacob, with dialogues penned by Unni R. Dushara Vijayan is making her Malayalam debut by playing the female lead. The film also stars Sunil, Kabir Duhan Singh, Jagadish, Siddique, Anson Paul, Raj Tirandasu, rapper Baby Jean, Hipster, singer Hanan Shaah, Parth Tiwari and Shibin S Raghav, among others.

The technical crew of Kattalan includes Kantara composer B Ajaneesh Loknath, cinematographer Renadive, editor Shameer Muhammed, action choreographer Kecha Khamphakdee. It is produced by Shareef Muhammed's Cubes Entertainments, who last backed Unni Mukundan's Marco. The film is set to hit screens on May 14.
