Nivin Pauly's Baby Girl to release later this January

The medical thriller is directed by Arun Varma of Garudan fame

Basking in the success of Sarvam Maya, actor Nivin Pauly's next film, a medical thriller titled Baby Girl, is set to hit theatres soon after wrapping production recently. Sources close to the project have informed CE that the film, directed by Arun Varma of Garudan fame, would release sometime later this January. They also dropped a poster featuring Nivin's character in a nursing attendant's costume and holding a baby in his hand. From the poster, it appears that Nivin's character works at Good Shepherd Hospital. This is Nivin's second medical thriller to release in a short span of time; recently, he starred in Pharma. Interestingly, the actor has also been part of another medical thriller titled Mikhael (2019).

Baby Girl is directed by Arun from a screenplay by Bobby and Sanjay. It also stars Abhimanyu Thilakan, Sangeeth Prathap, and Lijomol Jose in important roles. The cast includes Aditi Ravi, Sreejith Ravi, Major Ravi, Azees Nedumangad, Jaffer Idukki, Alphy Panjikaran, Kaillash, Kichu Tellu, Nisha Sarang, Aswanth Lal, Prem Prakash, Nandu, Maithili Nair, and Josekutty Jacob.

The film is produced by Listin Stephen under his Magic Frames banner, which reunites with Nivin after collaboration on films such as Traffic (2011), Thuramukham (2023), Ramachandra Boss and Co (2023)and Malayalee from India (2024). It also brings Magic Frames back together with Bobby and Sanjay after films such as Traffic and How Old Are You (2014).

The core technicians of Baby Girl comprise cinematographer Faiz Siddik, music director Sam CS, and editor Shyjith Kumaran.

Nivin Pauly's upcoming films include Dear Students with Nayanthara, Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai with director Ram, Benz with Raghava Lawrence, and Bethlehem Kudumba Unit with Premalu director Girish AD. The other day, Panorama Studios also signed a multi-film agreement with Nivin.
