Nadiya Moidu started her New Year on a bright note, sharing information about a chance encounter she had with one of her favourite actors, Nicole Kidman, while at a restaurant in Australia. The other day, the actor shared a video on social media where she can be seen posing for pictures with Kidman. At one point, when Nadiya tried to make herself appear taller, Kidman bent down to balance out the height difference between them. Calling herself a fan of Kidman, Nadiya said that the latter is “incredibly warm and gracious” and “such a treat”. The actor also had a quirky reaction to Kidman's gesture to bend down. “Despite being so tall, she even offered to bend down to match my height — a good six inch difference,” Nadiya wrote, followed by a face with tears of joy emoticon. 

Vijay Yesudas commented under the video, asking if Kidman has been made aware of how legendary Nadiya is back in India. For the uninitiated, Nadiya is known for her roles in films across Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu, such as Nokketha Doorathu Kannum Nattu, M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi, Mirchi, and Attarintiki Daredi. 

Last seen in a section of the 2024 anthology Manorathangal, opposite Fahadh Faasil, Nadiya Moidu has been spending her time in Australia over the last few weeks. Some days ago, she posted a video of her watching the Boxing Day Test Match between Australia and England in the ongoing Ashes series down under. The actor is living with her family in Mumbai.
