Riya Shibu has been getting plenty of appreciation for her performance as a ghost named Delulu in director Akhil Sathyan's Sarvam Maya, co-starring Nivin Pauly and Aju Varghese. The words of praise for her performance only grew stronger after the film had its digital premiere through JioHotstar. Earlier this Wednesday, Riya shared that she received a special hamper from Suriya and Jyotika after they were impressed by her performance in the film.

The hamper contained a note from the couple appreciating Riya. It read, "Loved your performance in Sarvam Maya, Riya! So natural, impactful and a joy to watch. Big congratulations and wishing you continued success and many more memorable roles ahead."

Riya Shibu expressed her gratitude to Suriya and Jyotika for their note of appreciation. "Thank you sooo sooooo muchhhhh Suriya sir and Jyotika ma'am for taking away your precious time and effort to send me this hamper as an appreciation for Sarvam Maya," she wrote. In the picture she shared on Instagram, you can also see the actor with a big smile on her face, capturing her excitement for the words of praise she received from two of the most popular stars in South Indian cinema.

Interestingly, Akhil Sathyan recently revealed that Riya was not his first choice for the role of Delulu in the horror-comedy. He initially wanted Preethi Mukundan for before choosing Riya. The decision boiled down to the fact that the makers wanted a younger actor for the role to ensure that it did not become too conventional a love story. The move has worked wonders for the film, as Riya's performance in it has been well appreciated and deemed one of its highlights.

Suriya and Jyotika have also appreciated composer Justin Prabhakaran's work in the film.
