Filmmaker Tharun Moorthy on Sunday announced the completion of the first schedule of his upcoming film with Mohanlal, tentatively titled L 366, sharing the update through a social media post accompanied by a carousel of behind-the-scenes photographs from the set.
“We, as a team, have successfully completed the first schedule of our shoot. Now, we take a short break — a moment to recheck, reconnect, and restore the emotions so they can grow even deeper,” he wrote. Thanking his collaborators, Tharun added that his team had stood firmly behind him and their shared conviction. The director also marked a personal milestone, noting that February 12 marked five years since the release of his debut feature, Operation Java, which hit theatres on the same day in 2021.
Reflecting on the journey, he wrote that on the same day this year, he was filming his fourth project, “back-to-back”, with Mohanlal, whom he described as “the biggest actor in the country”, and producer Ashiq Usman, calling the banner "one of the leading production houses in Mollywood." He added, “Yes — we are a team with a vision. Hold on to your vision. Trust your process. Our next schedule begins on February 18th. Thank you, team, for your clarity and authenticity. Grateful. Always.”
L 366 marks Tharun’s second collaboration with Mohanlal after the success of Thudarum. Mohanlal plays T S Lovelajan, a police officer, while Meera Jasmine essays Naisy, his wife. The project brings together much of the director’s core technical team.
