Actor Anoop Menon will next be seen in Ee Thani Niram, directed by Ratheesh Nedumangadu of Dial 100 fame from an Ambika Kannan Bai screenplay. The film is set to hit theatres this Friday. Meanwhile, Anoop also has a film with Mohanlal in the pipeline. Recently, the actor-filmmaker announced the project, calling it a "dramatic journey traversing love, longing, and music".
The film is set to bring the writer-director back together with Mohanlal after 2008's Pakal Nakshatrangal. However, its shoot faces a long delay following a change in the production banner. In a recent press conference for Ee Thani Niram, Anoop described this situation as a "technical glitch".
Speaking to a reporter, Anoop said that it is quite "early" to discuss the film, especially Mohanlal's character in it. "I can only talk about it when the production starts. The production that was attached to it did not work out. So, there is that kind of a technical glitch to it," the actor-writer-filmmaker said.
He also said that the delay has to do with his insistence on finding the right producer for it. "I feel that it (his adamancy) will keep the film in good stead. Lalettan also feels that we should wait for the right producer to come onboard. Only then will the film will materialise," Anoop explained. The actor said that the process would take time and that there is no need to rush into the project. "Mohanlal has many films to do, and I also have some to keep me afloat. The film could happen only at a time when the whole production team is happy with everything. It might be this year or the next," the actor added. "Let it happen at that time. Everything is rosy and happy," he clarified.
