Althaf Salim's next wrapped up

The filming of Althaf Salim's new film as a lead actor has been wrapped up. The film is written and directed by Yatheendran, a real-life policeman who was also a former assistant to veteran filmmaker Kamal. Maqtro Motion Pictures is producing the film in association with Kavilamma Productions. On wrapping up the shooting, Althaf wrote on Instagram, "Loved every single second on screen."

This yet-to-be-titled film has Krishnapriya as the female lead. It features around 150 newcomer actors picked through auditions. The cast also includes familiar names like Ashokan, Azees Nedumangad, Rony David Raj, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Anand Manmadhan, Praveena, Muthumani, Vineeth Viswam, and Abin Bino. It has cinematography by Arjun Accot, music by Prince George, and editing by Akash Joseph Varghese.

Althaf's upcoming slate as an actor includes Manmadhan, directed by Anas Kadalundi, and Adithyan Chandrashekar's Pluto, a science fiction comedy, also starring Neeraj Madhav.

Althaf, whose last directorial was Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, is also in talks with Naslen for his next. He is also reportedly planning to co-write a film with Sarvam Maya director Akhil Sathyan.
