Nivin Pauly now has the first 150-crore-grossing film in his career, with Sarvam Maya, his film with director Akhil Sathyan, hitting the milestone figure. The achievement comes even as the film has had its digital premiere. Announcing the news, Nivin wrote, "A truly unforgettable theatrical run," before adding that the film "is now streaming on JioHotstar and still running successfully in theatres near you!"

Also starring Riya Shibu and Aju Varghese in important roles, the film tells the story of a youngster named Prabhendhu (Nivin), who wants to become a popular musician one day. When his music troupe cannot afford a guitarist, Prabhendhu finds himself with no option but to take to his family business of being a priest as the only way to make ends meet. After an exorcism, however, a ghost (Riya Shibu's Delulu) follows Prabhendhu, leaving a significant impact on his life and career.

Produced by Ajayya Kumar and Rajeev Menon under the Firefly Films banner, Sarvam Maya also stars Preity Mukhundhan, Janardhanan, Madhu Warrier, Althaf Salim, and Anand Ekarshi, among others. The film earned mostly positive reviews from both critics and audiences alike after its theatrical release this Christmas. In our Sarvam Maya movie review, Vignesh Madhu wrote, "The film marks the welcome return of the much-loved, guy-next-door version of Nivin Pauly after a long hibernation... Akhil, who has also scripted the film, steers clear of clichés by presenting the ghost as someone still trying to make sense of her new existence."

While the horror-comedy continues its successful run, Nivin's other film Baby Girl, also starring Lijomol Jose and Sangeeth Prathap, opened to negative reviews and grossed around 3.5 crore from theatres after seven days of its release, according to Sacnilk data.
