The makers of Aashaan released the film’s trailer on Saturday at a pre-release event, with veteran actor Mammootty attending as the chief guest. Starring Indrans and Joemon Jyothir in the lead, the trailer suggests a light-hearted yet quirky meta-comedy drama built around a film-within-a-film concept.

Indrans plays the titular character, who is seen in multiple avatars, and the trailer promises that his performance will be the film’s biggest highlight. It is directed by Johnpaul George, best known for helming Guppy and Ambili.

Aashaan also features Shobi Thilakan, Bibin Perumpally, Abin Bino, Kudassanad Kanakam and Madan Gowri in key roles. Johnpaul has also composed the songs for the film, marking his debut as a music director, with Ajeesh Anto handling the background score. Produced under the banner of Guppy Cinemas, it is set to release in theatres on February 5. The film will be distributed in Kerala by Wayfarer Films, headed by Dulquer Salmaan.
