Suriya's film Vishwanath and Sons, directed by Venky Atluri, hit theatres earlier this Friday. The film has opened in cinemas to positive reviews from the audience. It also stars Mamitha Baiju in the female lead. Interestingly, Mamitha is not the only Malayali connection with the film. On Friday, actor Anarkali Marikar revealed that she made a brief appearance in the film.

Anarkali shared pictures featuring her with Suriya, both personal and film stills, and spoke about her experience sharing the screen with the latter. She wrote, "Very grateful and incredibly happy to be a small part of Vishwanath and Sons. To have had a little conversation and shared the screen with this man is more than I could have ever asked for as a child. The little girl in me is jumping with joy."

The actor added, "And now, all I hope for is to see him more often, in an even bigger role. What a privilege it was to share a moment with him."

Anarkali expressed her gratitude to Venky Atluri for casting her in the film and ended her note with a recommendation to people to watch it in theatres. Vishwanath and Sons marked Anarkali's debut in Tamil cinema. Her involvement in the film was largely kept a secret until its theatrical release.

Described as "A heartfelt journey of dreams, emotions, and unexpected love," the film also stars Radikaa Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon in important roles.

The film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, under the banners of Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, and Srikara Studios. On the technical front, it has music by GV Prakash, cinematography Nimish Ravi, editing by Navin Nooli, and production design by Banglan.
