Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros, directed by Savin SA from a Vipin Das screenplay, is continuing its glorious run at the box office and is now closing in on the Rs 120 crore mark at the Kerala box office alone. Its current cumulative stands at Rs 119.50 crore gross, which has surpassed the lifetime box office of Mohanlal's hit Thudarum (2025) which earned Rs 118.90 crore in its entire theatrical run in the state.

The achievement is also significant because Vaazha II had reached the milestone in just 23 days of its release. Interestingly, Saturday marks one year since Thudarum released in theatres worldwide.

The film had earlier become the fastest to cross the Rs 100 crore mark from Kerala alone. It had surpassed Thudarum at the time as well as Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra. It is already the highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2026.

Vaazha II continues its incredible run in theatres even amidst the recent releases, Bharathanatyam 2 MohiniyattamPallichattambi (starring Tovino Thomas), and the Kunchacko Boban-starrer Oru Durooha Saahacharyathil.

Vaazha 2, a spiritual sequel to the first part, explores the same themes of the original which revolves around carefree youngsters navigating pressure from their families and other members of society. The film focuses on a fresh set of characters, even as many of the original cast members reprise their roles. It has capitalised on the popularity of social media content creators such as Hashir, Vinayak, Alan and Ajin.

Besides the actors mentioned above, the film also stars Biju Kuttan, Vijay Babu, Alphonse Puthren, Aju Varghese, Ameen, and Angel Maria.
