The film has reportedly surpassed the box office collection of Aadu 3: One Last Ride – Part 1

Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros, directed by Savin SA from a Vipin Das screenplay, continues its successful run in theatres. According to the box office tracker Sacnilk, Vaazha 2 has grossed a little over 128 crore from theatres worldwide so far. Thus, it has reportedly become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2026, overtaking the box office collection of Aadu 3: One Last Ride – Part 1, directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas and starring Jayasurya. According to the said tracker, Aadu 3 grossed around 119 crore from theatres worldwide.

The film stars Hashir, Alan, Vinayak, Ajin, Biju Kuttan, Alphonse Puthren, Vijay Babu, Aju Varghese Ameen, and Angel Maria, among others.

Despite the title being Vaazha 2, it is not a direct sequel to the 2024 film, directed by Anand Menen and directed by Vipin himself. It is rather a spiritual sequel, although it explores the same themes of carefree youngsters navigating pressure from their families and other members of society. The film focuses on a fresh set of characters, even as many of the original cast members reprise their roles.

Alongside Aadu 3, the success of the second instalment in the Vaazha franchise has invigorated Malayalam cinema following its recent box office lull. The failures of some recent releases even put some pressure on exhibitors and filmmakers in the state. Exciting times await the industry, with the imminent releases of Pallichattambi, Patriot, Drishyam 3, and Athiradi.

More than the box office collection, the film has pushed social media sensations such as Hashir further into the limelight. Following the release of Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros, the number of Instagram followers of Hashir has shot up, surpassing that of even Naslen.
