Theatre: The Myth of Reality, starring Rima Kallingal and directed by Sajin Baabu of Biriyaani fame, is set to have its world premiere at IX Yalta International Film Festival on October 07 this year. Theatre will feature in the festival's international competition category. There are seven more candidates set to compete with the film in the category.

Theatre, which launched its trailer at the Cannes Film Festival recently, also stars Pramod Veliyanad in a key role. The film fetched Rima the Best Actor award and Pramod a special jury award at the recent Kerala Film Critics Awards.

As per its makers, the film explores the lines between reality and mythology that are so fragile. The film is produced by Anjana Philip and Philip Zackaria under the banner of Anjana Talkies, with Santhosh Kottayi serving as co-producer. On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Syamaprakash MS, editing by Appu Bhattathiri, and music by Saeed Abbas.

Theatre: The Myth of Reality is slated for an October 16 release in theatres.
