Recently, we reported about Dulquer Salmaan's production banner Wayfarer Films releasing a promo that teases the second instalment in the Lokah franchise. The latest development is that the promo video has gained more than 5 million views on YouTube. The video features Tovino Thomas and Dulquer's characters having a fun conversation about themselves and their respective place in the franchise. The promo reveals that Tovino's Michael/Chathan will be the main character in Lokah Chapter 2, like how Kalyani Priyadarshan's Kalliyankattu Neeli/Chandra is the protagonist in the first part. However, the promo leaves us hinting at a cameo appearance from Dulquer's Charlie/Odiyan in the second part. In the video, when Charlie tells Michael that he would not want to do anything with Chathan's family matters, the latter says that he would take Charlie along for the ride regardless.

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra also stars Naslen, Chandu Salimkumar, and Sandy Master in key roles. The film has earned more than 270 crore and has become the new industry hit in Malayalam cinema. The larger franchise, which the makers plan to create as a five-part universe, also features Dulquer's legendary actor father Mammootty as Moothon.
