Asif Ali’s Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali, which released theatrically on June 6, is set to begin streaming on Zee5 and OTTplay Premium from October 17, according to a report by OTTplay. Written and directed by debutant Sethunath Padmakumar, the film follows the trial of a young man accused of abusing his wife over dowry.

Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali stars newcomer Thulasi as the female lead, alongside Jagadish, Harisree Ashokan, Prem Kumar, Sidharth Bharathan, Azees Nedumangad, Vijayakumar, Balachandran Chullikkad, Anand Manmadhan and Neeraja Rajendran in supporting roles. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer Ajay David Kachappilly, editor Sobin K Soman, and music directors Bijibal, Muthu and Rahul Raj, who composed the background score. It is produced by Naisam Salam.

On release, Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali drew mixed responses from critics and audiences. An excerpt from the CE review of the film reads, "With women empowerment narratives becoming increasingly common, it does make sense that there is a clamour for films that speak for men. Aabhyanthara Kuttavaali does seem to have started at the same point, but as we have seen through films about women empowerment, too, intentions can only take you so far if the writing is flawed, the execution is functional, and your 'villains' are mere caricatures."
