Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran and director Vipin Das' upcoming film Santhosh Trophy is set to be launched on September 29, Monday, with an official pooja function. The event will take place at 9:00 am on Monday at Vackayil Sree Dharmasastha Temple, Thalayolaparambu. Listin Stephen is producing the film under his Magic Frames banner in association with Prithviraj Productions' Supriya Menon. Touted as a family film, Santhosh Trophy reunites Prithviraj and Vipin after 2024's comedy Guruvayoorambala Nadayil. It also brings Magic Frames back together with Prithviraj's namesake production banner after their collaborations on Driving License, Gold, Kaduva, and Jana Gana Mana.

Recently, the makers of the film announced that it will introduce 60 new actors. They are yet to offer further details about the film's cast, plot and technical crew. The film was announced on October 16 last year, coinciding with Prithviraj's birthday. The launch event on Monday will feature Prithviraj, Supriya, Listin, Vipin, the film's lead female actor, and all the newcomers, alongside some special guests.

Prithviraj will next be seen in director Jayan Nambiar's Vilaayath Budha. His upcoming films also include Nissam Basheer's i, Nobody, Vysakh's Khalifa, and debutant S Mahesh's Kaaliyan.
