Urvashi's first look from the upcoming film Aasha was unveiled on Friday. The poster features Urvashi sporting an intense gaze while standing amidst lush greenery. Along with that, the makers also released a short video capturing the warm reception Urvashi got on the film's sets upon returning from New Delhi after receiving her National Award. The veteran won the award for Best Supporting Actor for her riveting performance in last year's Ullozhukku.

Aasha also stars Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Vijayaraghavan in pivotal roles. The film is directed by debutant Safar Sanal, who has also co-written the screenplay and dialogues with Joju and Pani actor Ramesh Girija. Notably, Safar and Ramesh previously co-wrote the screenplay for Joju’s 2022 film Peace.

Produced by Vinayaka Ajith, Aasha is currently being shot in Kalady and the surrounding regions. It has Madhu Neelakandan as the cinematographer, Midhun Mukundan as the composer, and Shan Mohammed as the editor. The film is set for release in five languages.

Urvashi is also part of Paablo Paarty, a Malayalam-Tamil bilingual, which also stars her daughter, Teja Lakshmi. The film is directed by Arathi Gayathri Devi, whose debut film Theri Meri, starring Shine Tom Chacko and Sreenath Bhasi, is awaiting release.
