Director Akhil Sathyan is celebrating his birthday on Friday, and on this occasion, Nivin Pauly shared a social media post wishing the actor. The two are collaborating for Sarvam Maya, scheduled for Christmas release this year. In his birthday wish post, Nivin reconfirmed that the film will hit screens in December. He also shared a couple of Akhil's stills from the location.

Sarvam Maya is Akhil's second film after debuting in 2023 with Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum. According to him, Sarvam Maya is a musical romantic drama centred on a ghost, incorporating elements of fantasy and humour. Preity Mukhundhan and Riya Shibu feature as the female leads in the film. Aju Varghese, Janardanan, Althaf Salim, Vineeth and screenwriter Raghunath Paleri also star in it.

On the technical front, Akhil has retained his same core team from his debut film, including cinematographer Sharan Velayudhan, music director Justin Prabhakaran, production designer Rajeevan, and sound designer Anil Radhakrishnan. It is produced by Ajayya Kumar and Rajeev Menon under the banner of Fire Fly Films, in association with Akhil Sathyan Films.

Nivin is currently working on B Unnikrishnan's film, which is reportedly a political drama. The actor, who hasn't had a release since May 2024, has multiple projects in various stages of production. It includes debutants Sandeep Kumar and George Philip Roy’s Dear Students, Garudan-fame Arun Varma's Baby Girl, the Tamil films Benz and Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, and the JioHotstar web series Pharma.
