The Deepak Parambol, Asif Ali and Divya Prabha starrer Sarkeet is finally set to have its digital premiere nearly five months after its theatrical release. The film is slated to drop on the streaming platform ManoramaMAX on September 26, Friday. The streamer made the announcement even as Asif's latest film Mirage, directed by Jeethu Joseph and co-starring Aparna Balamurali, is running in theatres.

The film tells the story of a couple (Deepak and Divya) navigating life as the parents of a child (Orhan Hyder) with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). When a stranger (Asif) comes into their lives, it brings about a positive change in their lives. Directed by Thamar KV of 1001 Nunakal fame in his second film, Sarkeet also stars Swathi Das Prabhu, and Prasanth Alexander, among others.

Set in the UAE, the film has music by Govind Vasantha, editing by Sangeeth Prathap, who is now more popular as an actor, and cinematography by Aeyaz. It brought back Divya Prabha into Malayalam cinema after 2023's Family. Critics appreciated the film for its sensitive depiction of parenthood, life in the United Arab Emirates, immigrant struggles, and ADHD. They made a special note of Asif and Orhan Hyder's performances in the film, as well as its emotional depth.

In our Sarkeet movie review, Vignesh Madhu called it "a thought-provoking take on ADHD and parenting."
