Joju George and Deepak Parambol injured while shooting for Varavu

Joju George and Deepak Parambol were immediately taken to a private hospital in Munnar

Actors Joju George and Deepak Parambol suffered injuries on Saturday while shooting for the upcoming film Varavu. The two got injured after the jeep Joju was driving slipped. Both he and Deepak, who was also in the jeep, escaped with minor injuries. They were immediately taken to a private hospital in Munnar.

Although Varavu’s shooting commenced on September 9, Joju joined the sets only recently. The film is directed by Shaji Kailas, marking his maiden collaboration with the actor. Joju plays the role of Polachan, an affluent planter, in this upcoming action thriller set against the backdrop of the high ranges. It is scripted by AK Sajan.

The ensemble cast also includes Murali Gopy, Arjun Ashokan, yesteryear actor Sukanya, Baburaj, Vincy Aloshious, Saniya Iyappan, Ashwin Kumar, Abhimanyu Thilakan, Biju Pappan, Bobby Kurian, Azees Nedumangad, Sreejith Ravi, Kottayam Ramesh, Balaji Sharma, Chali Pala, and Radhika Radhakrishnan, among others. Naisy Reji is producing the film under the banner of Olga Productions, with Jomy Joseph as co-producer.

Joju, a busy actor these days, next has Jeethu Joseph’s Valathu Vashathe Kallan, co-starring Biju Menon, lined up. He is also part of Aasha, alongside Urvashi, which he is co-writing. He is also planning to don the director’s hat for Deluxe, a spiritual sequel to his directorial debut, Pani.

Deepak, on the other hand, was last seen in Jeethu Joseph's Mirage.
