Jeethu Joseph's Mirage, starring Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali in lead roles is gearing up for release in theatres on September 19. The makers announced the news on the festive occasion of Onam. The film is jointly scripted by Jeethu Joseph and Srinivas Abrol, based on a story by Aparna R Tarakad.

Mirage also stars Hakim Shahjahan, Hannah Reji Koshy, and Sampath in significant roles. Promising Jeethu Joseph’s trademark touch of suspense, the recently released teaser opens with Asif unlocking a locker to reveal a box and a document. In the next shot, Aparna opens another locker, only to find it empty. Moments later, both Asif and Aparna return to the first locker, where the box and document reappear, this time taken by Asif. The teaser then cuts to a series of tense glimpses of the duo, culminating in a chilling moment where Asif warns a terrified Aparna that she is in serious trouble.

On the technical front, the film reunites Jeethu with his frequent collaborators: cinematographer Satheesh Kurup, editor Vinayak VS and music director Vishnu Shyam. The trio are also part of Jeethu’s upcoming project Valathu Vashathe Kallan, featuring Joju George and Biju Menon, which recently wrapped filming. Mirage marks Asif and Aparna's reunion after last year's widely acclaimed Kishkindha Kaandam

Mirage is produced by Mukesh R Mehta, Jatin M Sethi and C V Sarathi under the banner of E4 Entertainment.
