Actor Dileep turns 57 today. On this occasion, it is worth remembering one of the biggest hits in the actor's career: Twenty:20. The 2008 film, which brought Dileep together with Mohanlal, Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, and Jayaram, among others, became a massive hit at the box office. One of the main factors in its success is the fact that it assembled all the big stars of Malayalam cinema for a film with a cohesive story. In fact, Dileep, who is also the film's producer, wanted a song for the film featuring artists from across industries in India.

Speaking recently to CinePlus Productions, Dileep revealed that he had also asked Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth to appear in the song. He added that Kamal called him back, asking about the song, but that by then it was all a little too late. "He called me and asked, 'Aren't you doing that song? When should I come for it?' However, by then, we reached a stage where we had to complete the film and release it soon."

Dileep also expressed his regret at not be able to have Kamal part of the song. He produced the film to raise funds for the AMMA association's charity programs, and all artists worked on it with no remuneration.
