The theatrical release of the Asif Ali-starrer Tiki Taka, directed by Rohith VS, has been pushed to 2026. Rohith had earlier announced that the film would reach cinemas during Christmas this year.

The update was shared by the makers on Diwali along with a new poster carrying festive greetings. The accompanying caption read: “Festival of lights meets the festival of mass euphoria! Happy Diwali, folks... Have an absolute blast! PS: Diwali will arrive sooner next year!” The line is understood as a reference to the rescheduled release window.

Tiki Taka marks Rohith’s third outing with Asif after Adventures of Omanakuttan and Ibilis. Billed as an action-driven spectacle, the upcoming film also stars Naslen, Wamiqa Gabbi, Lukman Avaran and Sanchana Natarajan. The project began production in 2023 but faced a brief interruption when Asif sustained an injury during filming. He plays a character named John Denver.

Backed by T-Series Films, Panorama Studios, Vellmade Productions and Adventure Company, Tiki Taka is scripted by Niyog from a story by Packiaraj. The film has cinematography by Sony Seban and editing by Chaman Chakko, with KGF music director Ravi Basrur composing the soundtrack and score.

Although the new date has not been officially announced, writer Niyog hinted in an X (formerly Twitter) interaction that Tiki Taka's release is being targeted for Eid next year, which falls in March.
