Tovino Thomas, Basil Joseph, and Vineeth Sreenivasan are coming together for Athiradi, the directorial debut of Minnal Murali and Padayottam co-writer Arun Anirudhan. The makers on Saturday released a title teaser featuring the three leads.

The 1.49-minute-long video begins with Vineeth's character hyping Basil and Tovino, who both seem to be nemeses. While Basil is introduced as a fashionable new-gen guy in the backdrop of a pub, we see a mundu-clad Tovino in a temple festival. They both have a go at each other over the phone, while Vineeth ends it with a sinister smile and the now-famous Kamal Haasan dialogue 'Arambikkalangala'. While full-fledged shooting is yet to commence, the title teaser promises a fun actioner.

Athiradi marks the maiden production of newly launched banners Basil Joseph Entertainment and Dr Ananthu Entertainment. The latter is headed by Dr Ananthu S, founder and CEO of Xylem Learning. Arun Anirudhan has scripted the film with Paulson Skaria, who co-wrote Neymar and Kaathal. Music director Vishnu Vijay, editor Samuel Henry, and editor Chaman Chakko are part of the new film's technical crew.

Tovino is currently shooting for Padayottam, directed by Dijo Jose Antony. His other announced projects include debutante Shilpa Alexander’s Avaran, Saiju Sreedharan’s Munpe, Muhsin Parari's next, co-starring Nazriya Nazim, and Lokah Chapter 2.

Basil, last seen in a cameo in Mohanlal-Sathyan Anthikad’s Hridayapoorvam, is also part of Sudha Kongara’s Tamil film Parasakthi, led by Sivakarthikeyan.

Vineeth Sreenivasan, who had been busy with his directorial Karam for the last few months, is also part of the upcoming Dileep-starrer Bha Bha Ba.
