If you follow films just enough, you might know that Meera Nandan quit acting to pursue a career in radio about a decade ago. The actor explained her decision in a recent conversation with The Majlis Show. Meera said that she did not wish to become an actor right from her young days, like many who take up this profession. "I did not have that dream or nothing of that sort. It just happened," she revealed. The actor added that working in cinema and trying to understand what makes the likes of Mohanlal and Mammootty who they are ignited a passion for the craft in her. "I started loving the craft. I started loving what I am doing in front of the camera," she disclosed. However, Meera said that she was not ready for the responsibilities that accompany public figures such as actors.

At the time Meera moved to Dubai and became an RJ, she said it was her longtime passion. "Once, in an awards function, the best RJ got more claps than Kareena Kapoor. So I wanted that experience," Meera said during the recent interview. As an actor, Meera Nandan's credits include Puthiya Mukham with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Kadal Kadannu Oru Maathukutty with Mammootty, Lokpal with Mohanlal, and Red Wine with Fahadh Faasil.
