The other day, Arjun Das took to his Instagram account and shared a photograph of him clad in police uniform and riding a Honda bike. “First day on set shooting for my new film! Can’t wait for you all to watch it. Will need all your blessings and support as always,” he wrote in the caption. He suggests the film marks a “new beginning” in his career. The bike also has a Kerala registration. In the post, Arjun attached the introduction music from the Tovino Thomas starrer Kalki. It appears that the film Arjun is shooting for is Torpedo, directed by Tharun Moorthy. The film’s makers are yet to confirm the beginning of its production, though.

As reported earlier, Torpedo is among the two projects in Malayalam Arjun Das has signed up for, the other being a romantic-comedy with Ahammed Khabeer. The film also stars Fahadh Faasil, Naslen, and Ganapathi in important roles. It brings Tharun back together with his frequent collaborator Binu Pappu, who serves as its screenwriter. Binu Pappu is among those who liked Arjun’s post on Instagram. Ashiq Usman is producing the film under his namesake banner. On the technical front, it has music by Sushin Shyam, cinematography by Jimshi Khalid, editing by Vivek Harshan, and sound design by Vishnu Govind. The producer is yet to disclose further details about the film’s plot and additional cast. However, when they announced the project earlier this year, the makers wrote in the caption, "We dive into deeper waters," hinting at a story set against the sea.

Besides Torpedo, Arjun Das’ upcoming films include Kumki 2 and Once More. The actor is also part of a Netflix series titled #Love.
