Pradeep Ranganathan has visited Kochi to promote his upcoming film Dude, alongside his co-star Mamitha Baiju. During his visit, he interacted with the media and spoke about the Malayalam films he has seen in the recent past. Pradeep said that Jeethu Joseph's Drishyam, starring Mohanlal, is among his "favourite films". The actor shared that he has "always wanted to to do something like that." Pradeep's other favourite Malayalam film is Thudarum, also starring Mohanlal. Calling Thudarum "amazing," the filmmaker-actor revealed that he spoke to its director Tharun Moorthy recently and expressed his admiration for the film. "Great work by the director," said the actor, known for his roles in films such as Love Today and Dragon.
Interestingly, both Drishyam and Thudarum have slightly similar plotlines, although they have different emotional beats. For example, both films revolve around Mohanlal's character, who is suspected of committing a crime.
Coming back to Pradeep Ranganathan, the actor's film Dude is slated for an October 17 release. The Keerthiswaran directorial also stars Rohini, Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, and Neha Shetty, among others. Also releasing on the same day is Mari Selvaraj's Bison, starring Dhruv Vikram and Anupama Parameswaran.
